Our guide for the day, Andrew, was another story. All day he was aggressive, condecending and quite frankly rude. The atmosphere was uncomfortable all day and was run like a military operation. You were told where to sit, and were told he would open the boot only once to get out any stuff you needed. He was very strict on timings, accusing a girl of being late when she was on time. He clearly doesn't enjoy the job and…”

A comfortable, small-group drive through the lush green countryside of Latvia and Lithuania; an interesting backgrounder and history lesson upon arrival; a solemn and sobering pilgrimage through the site to the monastery; a border stop for pictures; a slow drive through Jelgava with its Soviet style architecture and a stop at its ornate Orthodox Church with more historic commentary. We had a full day but not an exhausting one and there was still plenty of time for more sightseeing in Riga!”

The food in the palace was a 5 star experience!! Don't miss it. Bauska Castle was so fun to explore.
